Congratulations to Tharindu Dasun Samaraweera for winning the Gold Medal in the High Jump event at the South Asian Athletics Championship 2025. He has achieved this feat by clearing a height of 2.17 meters.

Mr.Albert Edirisinghe was born in 1913 in Baddegama Ganegama and kicked off his educational journey at the village Buddhist School before moving on to Mahinda College in 1925, where he wrapped up his studies in 1933. With a little nudge from Mahinda, he ventured into the world of business and made quite a name for himself in Sri Lanka. Eventually, he settled down under the name Ven.Ganegama Siri Devamiththa.
